Buyer guide · Cargo Tricycles

Choosing the right model in this category.

Most of what leaves our yard is cargo three-wheelers. They do the job a pickup does in places where a pickup costs too much and burns too much fuel: market runs, farm haulage, last-mile delivery, building materials. One driver, one vehicle, and a load that would otherwise take three motorcycle trips.

Everything we export in this class is listed below, petrol and electric, flat bed, drop-side, box and dump bodies. Each product page carries the model code and the confirmed specification, so two models can be compared on the same terms.

What to check before you order

  • Start with the load, not the price. Find your heaviest regular load and add 10-15% for the days the road is rough. A chassis that runs at its limit every day fails early, and the repairs cost more than the stronger model would have.
  • Petrol or electric depends on the route. Four-stroke 150-250cc still suits mixed and rural roads. Electric works on short urban loops where charging is dependable, and the fuel saving per kilometre is large.
  • Body choice follows the cargo. Flat bed for mixed loads, drop-side when you need side access, enclosed box for goods that must stay dry, dump body for sand, gravel and farm material.
  • Packing affects your duty as much as your freight. CBU arrives ready to drive. SKD and CKD reduce duty in markets with high CBU rates, and they suit importers who can assemble. Compare landed cost, not the FOB figure.
  • Plan the first year of spares with the order. Filters, brake parts, cables and tyres are cheaper in the same container than in an emergency reorder.

How we handle orders in this category

What usually happens when a cargo order comes in: we ask for the heaviest load and the worst road on the route, then match the chassis and body to that, not to the average day. If the answer is a heavier model than the buyer first asked about, we say so and explain why. Photos of the loaded container go out before the balance payment, so the buyer sees exactly what is on the water.

Frequently asked questions

What can a cargo tricycle carry?

Loads depend on the model class: light city trikes for parcels and shop stock, standard units for sacks and boxes, and heavy-duty agricultural trikes for produce, feed and building material. Tell us your typical weight and road type for a matched payload class.

Are cargo tricycles cheaper to run than a pickup?

For loads within the tricycle's rated payload, yes, purchase price, fuel burn and maintenance are all substantially lower. A pickup only wins when you regularly move heavy, bulky or long-distance freight.

Can I get a cargo tricycle with an enclosed box?

Yes, flat bed, drop-side, box and dump bodies are available depending on the model, and the body is confirmed per order with dimensions.

Do you supply cargo tricycle spare parts?

Yes. Consumables and wear parts can be consolidated with your vehicle order in the same container, which keeps freight cost down and spare stock on hand from day one.

How many cargo tricycles fit in one container?

It depends on the model dimensions and packing format, CBU and CKD load very differently. See our container loading guide, or send your model list and we confirm the loading plan.
